My Wedding Day
The day before our big day, lots of things were not done yet.
Eg: Wedding certificate not collected, car deco not done, gown not tested & collected, solemnization deco not bought, seating for the wedding dinner not planned and lots more.
So, after collected everything in the morning, met up with Serene and Rina at West Mall to prepare the ingredients of the game.
Serene stayed over at my house and we try to sleep. We only fell asleep at 3am but woke up at 5am for the hair combing ceremony!
The first combing symbolizes: from beginning till the end
The second combing symbolizes: harmony from now till old age
The third combing symbolizes: sons and grandsons all over the place
The fourth combing summaries good wealth and a long-lasting marriage.
The makeup artist came at 6.30am.
And my photographer came at 7am.
Done!
Relax and wait for the groom to arrive.
Meanwhile, Serene and Rina was preparing the ingredients for the groom and the brothers.
Sour, sweet, bitter and spicy.
A picture with Pinky!
Too bad Harry doesn't want to take photos with me. Lol.
My four pretty sisters!
Around 7am, finally the groom arrive.
A couples of photos first before they went up.
LOL! Dancing gungnam style is a must have for the groom and the brothers.
But only the first step of the dance.
The first game :
Need to be blindfolded and to complete the puzzle.
Edwin was beside to guide him.
Next: Hide and seek.
The sisters were holding the four keys.
If the key doesn't open the door, they have to do forfeits.
One of the forfeits, bitter gourd.
Yuanda only need to finish this two.
While the brothers need to share among themselves.
Like this :
Spicy time!
They mixed the chili with the fried noodles.
After everything, the last: The Ten Promises.
He needs to read out loud and clear,
make sure I can listen if not he needs to re-read again.
After all the hard work, at last he can meet the bride!
Actually we cheated.
The main key was with me.
Poor YuanDa have no choice but to finish all games first.
The puzzle he did just now.
The brothers, sisters, bride and the groom :
All wearing white!
Leaving my home to Yuanda's house.
Parents will have to hold a red umbrella over my head.
Meaning raise the bark, spread the leaves (I google it).
My favorite picture of the day!
Tea ceremony at his house :
After the tea ceremony and had some food, we headed back to my house.
Bouquet-throwing time!
Congrats to Rina and Edwin.
You guys are next! =D
Roasted pig.
Look at the pig's skin, so tasty!
I have changed to the Chinese traditional wedding dress/tea dress, Kua
before coming back home for the tea ceremony.
Right after our morning ceremonies, at least we have 30-45mins to rest and eat.
Then headed to Furama Riverfront hotel to bathe and prepare for the next.
The solemnization ceremony.
Actually it was supposed to held it at the swimming pool side way but recently it kept raining.
So in the end, it was changed to one of the function rooms.
(Anyway, the weather on my wedding day was pretty good, no rain at all!)
Rings exchanged!
After the pastor had talked so much.
The vow.
But ours are in Chinese version (it's shorter compared to the English version).
Lastly, us signing the lifetime contract.
LOL! And I am officially Mrs Gu from now on!
Back to the room to changed my wedding gown immediately after a few photos.
Gosh. It was super rush!
Luckily the sisters and brothers were there to help.
Came down earlier to take pictures with the guests before the march in.
Nervous!
Hand in hand marching in to the stage.
The gown was so heavy and was really afraid to step on my own dress and fall.
Second march in with my pink evening gown when the guest were having the third dish.
This one is much heavier.
The morning highlights was played when we were back to our room for changing the evening outfit.
交杯酒 :
Mine was some fruit juice.
Because I didn't want my face in all photos ended up looks like tomato.
Cheers to all.
By the way, I shouted till no voice seriously.
Taking pictures from one table to another table is my favorite time.
Although it was really tiring.
Siew Li, her boyfriend, Xuan Hui, Linus, Rayden, LiLing and Amos :
